Fellowships & Internships
The International Intellectual Property Institute (IIPI) seeks attorneys, law students, graduate students and undergraduate students to join our team as fellows and interns. Fellows and interns gain experience in all aspects of our organization and have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of experts in intellectual property and international development. Positions are available for the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Internships are unpaid but academic credit is a possibility.
Currently Available Fellowships and Internships:
IIPI seeks attorneys, law students, graduate students and undergraduate students to work as full or part-time fellows and interns during the spring semester. Spring fellows and interns will assist IIPI with multiple projects, including one concerning technology transfer in the Philippines and another involving intellectual property protection for artists in Southeast Asian countries.
Fellows and interns will provide analytical and writing support for IIPI attorneys and staff. This includes conducting substantive legal research and assisting with the drafting of legal documents such as amicus briefs. Fellows and interns will also prepare speeches and presentations for an international audience and cooperate with intellectual property experts from around the country. Fellows and interns will have the opportunity to attend local talks, networking events and social functions as they arise.
Interest in intellectual property law and policy is essential for these positions. Attorneys and students with foreign language skills, particularly Spanish and Mandarin, are encouraged to apply.
