The International Intellectual Property Institute (IIPI), in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) and its Innovation Technology Support Offices (ITSO) program, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), will hold a pilot program to identify and evaluable the patentability of specific inventions chosen from the six universities that have participated in previous USPTO-sponsored programs.

The project will assist the ITSOs in implementing the Bayh-Dole model for successful technology transfer and commercialization of publicly-funded technologies. In doing so, the project will assist the ITSOs in filing for patent protection and developing and executing an appropriate commercialization strategy.
