Collective management societies can be an effective and legal mechanism for copyright and neighboring rights protection and management. In Bolivia, these societal types are regulated by law and must comply with certain essential pre-requisites before they are legally recognized. Once these societies have been legally incorporated, they can be used as a very efficient instrument to guarantee the legal protection afforded by the national and international legislation.
