Copyright protection and enforcement can be a boon to a country’s economy, creating jobs and wealth by promoting local products and industries and encouraging foreign investment. In a joint project with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), IIPI will work with Cambodia to identify and address barriers to effective copyright protection and enforcement and develop a blueprint that the Cambodians can use to make the most out of international IPR best practices.
